I love stuff like this.

But for that Brazilian guy to write down all those figures down, just wow.

Unfortunately the U.S. won’t appreciate this, they only get one math, while the rest of use get all the maths. ;)

This is the numeric equivalent of NASCAR. If it’s not explicitly stated that you aren’t allowed to do it, then it must be allowed. Despite the original author not using concatenation in any of the proofs, the new guy decides its ok to use it in his. What exactly are the order of operation rules for  concatenation?

It’s a commonly used operation in excel. I’ve never used it for math operations, but I use it frequently for combining fields to generate a new field. For example, in census data the geographic ID is a concatenation of the state number, county ID number, census tract number, etc. It’s not unusual to receive this data in individual fields, so we have to concatenate  them to get the correct geographic ID so we can look up the census data related to the area.
